Before you write
The questions we are asked most.
Answered honestly rather than optimistically.
01How much does a typical engagement cost?
Most engagements run from the low six figures up, depending on scope and duration. Enterprise implementations with data migration sit at the higher end. You get a fixed number after discovery rather than an estimate that drifts — and if your budget is materially below what the work requires, we will tell you and suggest a smaller useful first step.
02Do you work on Odoo, Dynamics 365 or SAP Business One?
All three, plus Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify and WooCommerce. We are an accredited Odoo partner and hold certifications in Dynamics 365 and Salesforce. We are candid when one of those is the wrong choice for your situation.
03Can you help with AI and RAG systems?
Yes. We build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, tool-calling workflows and agentic systems. The evaluation harness ships before the feature does, so you have a measurable accuracy number rather than a promising demo.
04How quickly can you start?
We are currently booking for the following quarter. Discovery usually starts within two to three weeks of signing, and a first demonstrable increment lands four to six weeks after that.
05Do you work with existing in-house teams?
Most of our engagements are with in-house teams rather than in place of them. We prefer pairing and handover over pure outsourcing — the work should not stop when we leave.
06How do you handle data migration?
It is usually the hardest part of an enterprise project, so we start with it. We audit and map the existing data before configuring anything, then rehearse every migration phase in staging with a tested rollback before it touches production.
07What happens at the end of a project?
You get the code, the documentation, the runbooks and paired working until your team is comfortable. We do not hold anything back, and we do not sell ongoing support as a condition of the handover.
08Can you work alongside our existing vendor or contractor?
Yes. We regularly work alongside agencies and independent specialists. We are happy to be one part of a delivery team rather than insisting on owning it.
09Do you take on equity instead of fees?
Occasionally, for early-stage companies with no funding and a genuinely strong team, but rarely. Fees keep the advice honest — we would rather be able to tell you something is wrong.
10Where is the studio based?
Colombo, Sri Lanka. We work async-first across time zones and keep overlapping hours with clients in Europe, the Gulf and Asia — agreed per engagement, announced in advance, and actually kept.
11Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Send yours over before the first call and we will sign it — or talk freely on the call and formalise afterwards, whichever you prefer. Either way, your material stays yours.
12What budgets do you work with?
The enquiry form lists our typical ranges — under $1k, $1k–$2.5k, and above that. Smaller fixes and audits sit at the lower end; full builds and enterprise implementations sit higher. If none of the ranges fits, choose “Let’s talk about it” and describe the work instead.
13Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Yes, as a lightweight care arrangement after handover — monitoring, dependency updates and a monthly allowance of small fixes. No lock-in: everything is documented so your team can take it over whenever you like.
